The features you haven’t found yet
Almost everyone who opens MakeTimeFlow for the first time has the same quiet reaction: there is a lot here, and I’m only using a little of it. Even people who have been with us for a year feel it. The honest answer is that nobody uses everything on day one, and nobody should. But until now we had no way to show you the difference between a feature you’re missing and a power that’s simply further along your path.
Your Amulet
At the foot of your sidebar, just above Help, there is now a small cut stone beside a single word: Apprentice, Adept, or Master. That word is your rank. The stone is your Amulet, and its seven facets fill with light as you climb. Hover over it to see your level and the one power that comes next.
Open it and you’ll see the whole necklace: every power in MakeTimeFlow as a bead, curving around the stone. The beads you’ve tried glow softly. The ones you’ve made your own glow fully. The rest wait as faint outlines, a promise rather than a gap. One bead breathes gently: that’s your next power, and Learn this power takes you straight to it.
Seven levels, three ranks
The beads gather into seven levels, and you climb them in order, because each stands on the one before:
- Apprentice — Focus (intentional time) and Rhythm (daily rituals)
- Adept — Alignment (actions that serve your stories) and Flourishing (your own map)
- Master — The Zone (golden time), Integration (your system and AI working with your mind), and Legacy (who’s better off because you did)

How a bead lights
Each power has its own measure of practice, because the powers are different. Writing one five-year Vision is an achievement; capturing five tasks is a good start; trying Begin Well three times is enough to know whether it’s for you. A level opens once you’ve tried every power in it and made about half of them your own.
Only what you do counts. The blocks and tasks MakeTimeFlow places for you, like your Shutdown block, don’t light anything. A few powers are optional, the desktop app and connecting a calendar, so they light when you use them but never hold you back. And a few practices near the top of the path, like finding your golden hours, are ones the app can’t see yet; they’ll come alive as the handbook that teaches them is written.
When you reach a new level, the next time you open your Amulet you’ll see it arrive: a pale light travels along the chain into the stone, and a new facet fills. It plays once.

Light only accumulates
There are no points here, no streaks to break, and nothing ever dims. The Amulet isn’t a scoreboard. It’s a map of who you’re becoming, and the only direction it moves is forward.
