Update 20260527 Your Hours Your Calendar: Set the calendar to match your day — choose the hours you see and the hours you work in Preferences. Calendar modals now have a clean Event | Task toggle, and two-calendar users can pick which provider a new task syncs with. Plus calendar edits show up instantly, the outliner handles backspace correctly on indented blank lines, and keyboard sorting your inbox no longer jumps you to a different bucket.
Update 20260607 All Your Calendars and a Coach on Focus: Bring every Google calendar (within an account) into view, not just one — pick which to include, and see commitments from elsewhere as muted, read-only blocks you can plan around. Your Focus screen now has an always-on Flow Coach with time-aware guidance and an Ask popover that answers by text or voice without leaving the work. Plus weekend repeating tasks, rituals that hide steps you don’t use, and a smoother WRAP.
Update 20260616 A Menu-Bar Timer and a Faster Start: Control your flow timer right from the menu bar on Mac — start, see, and switch tasks without ever opening the full app. Paste a markdown list and watch it become a structured task outline, jump to the new Search ⌘K button in the sidebar, and get a guided Getting Started video right in Focus mode. Plus a far easier desktop download, smarter desktop notifications, and a gold-star celebration when you finish your daily highlight.
Update 20260617 — Suggest, From Anywhere: You have great ideas - and we’d love to hear ‘em. When there are problems or even annoyances, I’d like to know about them! So there’s now a Suggest button in the sidebar — and a “Suggest…” command in ⌘K — that opens a single-box dialog to tell us anything, from any screen: an idea, a frustration, a missing piece. It takes a few seconds, lands straight with the team, and we read every one. Plus a fix so Shift-Tab no longer hiccups when outdenting in the outliner.
Update 20260707 Why Do I Have So Many Tasks and Where Did All My Time Go: Your outline now knows the difference between a task, a project, a folder, and a note — so you never have to decide up front. Capture freely, then recognize what something is with one reversible action, and your Today list finally holds only things you can actually do. Meanwhile Show Me My Time paints your real, tracked time right onto the plan calendar so the day shows itself as-lived, and the new Cal view (⌘5) gives your calendar a first-class home with drag-to-edit timer sessions. Plus fixes for duplicate Outlook calendar entries and the Outlook admin-approval loop, and a noticeably faster outliner.
Update 20260709 Think With Less Friction: The outliner is where you hold the nitty-gritty and see the big picture — and now there’s less between you and the thought. Rearrange anything with just your keyboard, file a task under any parent in your whole outline (even one that’s off-screen or in another tree), and drop a note on any line with Shift+Enter. The new Filter (⌘⇧F) narrows your outline to a slice you can keep working inside — reorganizing and refining, not just reading — and every complete, cancel, and move is now one ⌘Z away. This is the outliner as a true thinking surface: fluid to shape, and layered with actionable lenses that surface what matters right now.
Update 20260905 More Control of Your Time: Almost nobody disagrees that a proper Shutdown is worth it — and almost nobody does it, because at 4:30 nothing anywhere says stop. So now it can hold its own time: a 30-minute Shutdown block on your calendar each workday, synced out so nobody books over it, that you drag to when you’ll really stop — which is the part that turns meaning to stop into stopping. Start a timer on it and the ritual opens. The weekly WRAP gets the same, plus something it never had: you say which day and time you actually close your week, Sunday included. Call them whatever you call them, and delete one any day you don’t want it — it stays gone. The same idea, pointed at your work: tag buckets give the tasks that cut across your days — #email, #calls — a card in Focus you can drop work into, drag onto the calendar, or press Start on to drop into flow with just that pile in front of you. And the text format learned two things worth typing: /Launch Product files a task under a project by name at either end of the line, and work on #email blocks time for a whole tag — which, since a repeating task is only its text, means a weekly email session you set up once and never touch again. Three surfaces, one idea: none of this was ever waiting on more resolve from you. It was waiting on a say in your day — when, how long, what it’s called, and whether today gets one at all.
Update 20260906 — Repeating Tasks on Autopilot: Repeating tasks used to wait for you to press Assign each morning; skip the step and they never appeared. Now one checkbox puts them on your list around 4 AM your time, and BeginWell opens with that step already ticked. It’s opt-in and an honest experiment: we kept the manual step because committing each morning seemed to help people follow through, and we’re now testing whether removing the friction helps more. Since a repeating line is just text, work on "Flow Product" 2h start at 9am becomes a project budget and work on #email 30m start at 4pm puts email in one slot. The patterns worth stealing are on Repeating Tasks.
Update 20260908 Know Your Mental Energy: A slider on Focus records how clear your thinking is, the strip draws the shape of your day from it and shows how much is estimate, and two weeks of a few readings a day shows you the rhythm you’ve been guessing at. Made for Personal Experiments: put a question to it.
Update 20260907 Repeating Tasks on Any Rhythm: Repeating tasks were only ever good at the week. Now they are one document: a heading names a rhythm, the lines under it are its tasks, and two rhythms are new, a day of the month (1st of the month, Last day of the month) and a date each year (March 14). Press Save and the page tells you what it understood, with each rhythm’s next date; anything it couldn’t read stays in your text, named by line. Invoices on the first, the books on the last day, the domain every March: the decisions the month and the year make, written down once. And with automatic assignment on, your scheduled tasks can be assigned a week or a month ahead: on your calendar before the week fills, yours to drag, and cancelled rather than piled up if a day goes by without them. Design your time once; protect it every week.
Update 20260926 See Your Whole Path: Every power in MakeTimeFlow now sits on one path, drawn as a necklace. Your Amulet lives at the foot of the sidebar beside your rank, Apprentice, Adept or Master; open it to see which powers you’ve made your own, the one that comes next, and the whole path of seven levels ahead. No points, no streaks, nothing ever dims.
Update 20260926 A Coach That Speaks When It Matters: The Flow Coach on your Focus screen now speaks when your day changes: finish a task, stop a timer or complete a ritual, come back to Focus, and it may offer one line about what just happened, like which task to push when today won’t fit. Most of the time it stays quiet on purpose, and Suggest something for right now asks for a fresh next move whenever you want one.
